Eastern Otters Water Polo Club
More than a water polo club, we’re part of East London’s sporting history.
Eastern Otters has roots stretching back to Eton Manor in East London, whose sporting organisations grew from the Eton Manor Boys’ Club, established in the early 20th century. Although the original boys’ club closed in 1967, the sporting spirit lived on, and Eastern Otters became one of the clubs to carry that legacy forward.
From our earlier days as Eton Otters, through our development as Eastern Otters, we have built a proud history in London water polo. The club has competed in London leagues for decades, including winning the London League Division 3 in 2009 and progressing through the divisions. Alongside competitive water polo, the club has always had a strong social side, with tours and friendships that have taken the Otters beyond the pool, including trips to Germany.
Whether you’re an experienced water polo player, returning to the sport after years away, or have never played before, there is a place for you here. We welcome people who want to compete, improve their fitness, learn a new sport, or simply become part of a friendly team.
Water polo is fast, challenging and great fun, and through playing in the London League, we get to play in arguably the oldest league in the world!
